We will have inflatables, kids carnival games, food, hayride, and other family friendly events happening!

All guests are welcome to dress up, and children are invited to take part in our first annual COSTUME PARADE! All children will receive FREE raffle tickets to enter for AWESOME prizes valued at $50+ each. Guests in attendance also receive a raffle ticket to give to the children whose costumes they enjoy best!

From 6-7 La Porte Service League will be helping children create mini matchbox Day of the Dead Ofrendas! 

Children can also download a copy of our Dia de los Muertos coloring sheet from our website at https://lcso.net/concerts/tales-from-the-dark-side, or pick one up from the LPC Public Library's Main Branch. These sugar skulls will be used to decorate the civic walls during our concert! Two children's entries will also be randomly selected to receive free tickets for their family!

NOT SURE IF YOUR CHILD IS READY TO LAST THROUGH A FULL CONCERT? No problem! Maestro has developed the show in a way that all of the kid's favorite pieces will be before the intermission...prizes will be distributed during the intermission as well!

We will have an authentic Dia de los Meurtos Community Ofrenda on display...stay tuned for how to particiapte. ALSO, during the concert, Maestro will conduct a Dia de los Muertos piece where pictures of loved ones will scroll during a slide show in honor of their vibrant lives! To submit a picture to be included, please call 219-362-9020 for directions. Each picture will be displayed for a $10+ donation. Spaces are limited, so call today to reserve your spot!

Join Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation Center as we celebrate Indiana's nocturnal wildlife during our Fall Festival! From 4pm - 8pm explore the grounds of the wildlife education center and see what nocturnal wildlife are found prowling the night. Enjoy a easy 45 minute night hike into the forest and meet our nocturnal wildlife ambassadors. 

A one-hour program will introduce you to our feathered, scaled and slimy wildlife ambassadors as you learn about their native habitat and what adaptations make them nocturnal. Afterwards sit by the campfire and enjoy s’mores and hot apple cider! 

4:30pm Nocturnal Wildlife Presentation
6:30pm Night Hike

We ask that you register for the event, general admission tickets are $10 per person (general admission tickets are for children over 3 years of age through adults). General admission tickets include, the wildlife presentation, night hike, and bonfire treats!

Our fifth annual Haunted Science Lab will be offered on Saturday, October 28th, 2017.

Free Event - Open to the public - Appropriate for all ages

Stop by any time between 6:00 and 9:00 PM.  You’re welcome to come in costume.

The event will show a variety of hands-on science activities. The exhibits are designed to put a spooky spin on science. Nothing should be too scary. Expect to see slimy things, glowing things, noisy things, and some surprises. But if you’re startled, it might be because you’ve learned something

10/27/2017 2nd Annual Fall Hayride & Bonfire

Join us for a hayride and bonfire in the crisp fall air at Rogers Lakewood Park in Valparaiso.  A hot dog, apple cider, marshmallows, roasting sticks, s'mores and a treat bag for the kids are included in the ticket price.  Fun for the entire family!

There are 3 hayride sessions available: early (5:30p-7p), mid (7p-8:30p) and late (8:30p-10p) evening and limited to only 60 seats per session. You must have a wristband for the coordinating hayride.

Tickets are only $10 per person, kids under 2 are free.  Seating is limited so reserve your seat now. Please indicate the number of tickets you are purchasing (adults and kids) in the special notes section along with early, mid or late evening hayride preference.  Get icket information at  https://www.paypal.me/openarmsrescue

Proceeds from this event will benefit the animals in the care of Open Arms Animal Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Haunted barn $5/adult; $4/kids 12 & under (not recommended for small children-their will be chicken exits at least every 50 feet if needed).

Carnival games for kids 0.50/game -NO GAMES ON SUNDAYS- 5-8 pm Friday & Saturdays (Come out and help the area Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts by playing games!)

This is a community fundraiser, come out and help support our cause & meet our Groundskeeper!
