We're Changing Our Hours!

So I’ve been tantalizing you with a major change coming to the North Judson-Wayne Township Library in September.  It’s something that many of you have asked about in the past. Well here is the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.

Starting on September 6th we will change our hours.

No we are NOT cutting any hours, in fact we will be open one hour more each week.  What we are doing is opening an hour earlier Monday through Friday and closing an hour earlier Monday through Thursday.  Saturdays will stay the same.

Old Hours

Monday – Thursday = 11a.m. – 8 p.m.                 (9 hours per day = 36 hours)

Friday = 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.                                           (7 hours)

Saturday = 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.                                    (5 hours)

                                                                                                (TOTAL OF 48 HOURS PER WEEK)

New Hours

Monday – Thursday = 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.           (9 hours per day = 36 hours)

Friday = 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.                                   (8 hours)

Saturday = 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.                               (5 hours)

                                                                                         (TOTAL OF 49 HOURS PER WEEK)

Quite a few people in the past have said that if we opened earlier it would save them having to come back into town after they have finished running their morning errands.  And most of our evening patrons come in before 6:30 p.m.

Yes, evening meetings might need to start or end a bit earlier, but hey, who wouldn’t like to have more time to relax at home before bedtime?  And, depending on the season, even catch a bit more daylight (I know the staff will appreciate it).
