Genealogy & Obituary Listings


The link above will give you access to a PDF file of names for obituaries (not the obituaries themselves) that are in the different newspapers that served North Judson from 1897 to 2006.  Once you find the name(s) you're looking for in our obituary listing, how do you get a copy of that information? Thanks to our Friends of the Library group, we have a microfilm reader/printer/scanner which will allow us to send you a copy of the information you want via email.

As of January 1st, 2013 all genealogical searches will be done once a month by a volunteer from the Friends of the North Judson-Wayne Township Library.  

To have a genealogical search open the Genealogy heading in the column to the left and download our Genealogical Research Form, fill in the information, then mail the form and payment for each search to the following address:

Birth & Death Certificates

Certified copies of birth and death certificates are available from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) by mail-in only or from the local health department in the county where the event occurred on a walk-in basis. All requests require proper identification and proof of relationship to the person whose record is being requested is required. Methods of payment and fees may vary. 

Visit the site below if you want/need to request a copy of a birth certificate (form 49607) or death certificate (form 49606) from the State of Indiana.
