10/30/12 - Sweetest Day

Wow, did the kids have fun at READ Jr. Tale Time today. Did you know that today was Sweetest Day? I didn't. Mom told us that Sweetest Day started in 1922 when Herbert Birch Kingston, who worked at a candy factory, decided to cheer up orphans and poorer children by giving them candy and gifts; now it's like a smaller version of Valentine's Day.

Anyway, after reading some stories about sharing stuff you no longer need/want/use with other people, everyone made Hugs and Kisses flowers to give away. Wish we'd taken some pictures! Maybe I can convince mom to make some when we go home. She has some crafting stuff left over and then we can show you how nice the flowers looked.

Well, I better go now. Just 28 more minutes and I get to go home and have a treat. See you later. - Anubis
