Video Projection System Use Policy
It is the policy of the North
Judson-Wayne Township Public Library that the video projector system may be
used by non-profit groups, community groups, other units of government, and the
schools and businesses of North Judson and Wayne Township, then by other groups
in Starke County without fees. Similar groups from outside of the county may
use the video projector system by leaving a $100 deposit that will be refunded
when all components of the system are returned in working order.
The video projector system consists
of a video projector and carrying case, VCR/DVD player and carrying case, and
connector cables. It is not necessary to check out all components of the system
at any one time.
The system must be reserved in
advance for specific occasions. Scheduling is on a first come, first serve
basis. Library programs take priority followed by North Judson and Wayne
Township groups and residents then Starke County groups and residents and,
lastly, groups and residents from outside Starke County. The system may not be
reserved by any group - except the library - for regular use in one of their
on-going programs (i.e. every Thursday from 12 to 2 all year). However, it may
be reserved for a series of dates for programs with definite starting and
ending times. Scheduling for this type of event is up to the Librarian's
discretion. The equipment may be picked up the evening of the day before
scheduled use and returned the morning of the day after scheduled use.
At least one individual from the
reserving group needs to come to the library and sign out the pieces of the
system to be used. For the most part the system will be checked to see that all
parts of the system have been returned in working order. Any damage, beyond
normal wear and tear, sustained to the system while it is in the custody of a
group other than the library will become the financial responsibility of that
group. Any malfunction of the equipment should be reported to the library
as soon as possible.
